Dr. Jen Santos, DC, CACCP – Chiropractor

Dr Jen Santos Chiropractor

I was first adjusted when I was 45 minutes old. My dad is a chiropractor and I was fortunate enough to grow up in a chiropractic family. While my parents ran his chiropractic office, my four siblings and I homeschooled in the back of his office. We got to see the miracles that occur with the help of chiropractic care.

More About Dr. Jen

For high school, I attended a private school where I played varsity volleyball, basketball, boys varsity baseball, and was captain of the varsity cheer squad, all while on the honor roll and graduating with honors. For undergrad I chose to pursue a career in the criminal justice system (either enforcement or law). I received my AA from the SRJC, and transferred to the second best school for criminal justice in the country, Sacramento State University. While at Sac State I worked for the Department of Fish and Game. I received my Bachelor’s of Science from Sac State. Upon graduation, I realized I was not passionate about criminal justice and wanted a new career to pursue. I knew I wanted to help people. During this time my husband, Matt, decided he wanted a career change as well. He decided that he wanted to become a chiropractor. During a tour of a chiropractic college, it became clear to me that I also wanted to be a chiropractor. Specifically, I knew I wanted to be a prenatal/pediatric chiropractor.

Our first son, Noah, was born 2 months before we started chiropractic college and he was much of my inspiration to become a top prenatal/pediatric chiropractor. My husband and I started chiropractic college together in South Carolina at Sherman College of Chiropractic. When we arrived, the school did not have a prenatal/pediatric club, so I quickly started one. My passion the entire time I was in school was pregnancy and children which lead me to learn under and meet some of the top pediatric and pregnancy chiropractors in our profession. Being that my husband and I are both from Petaluma, we choose to leave South Carolina and return to the Bay Area. We finished our chiropractic education at Life Chiropractic College West. I graduated with honors (Cum Laude) in 2013 and received the prestigious “Clinical Excellence Award” which is not awarded to a student every graduating class. This was a huge honor. Fast forward to now, I am a full time chiropractor at Acorn Chiropractic Club. This is the brainchild of Dr. Matt and myself. I am a part time teacher at Life West where I teach obstetrics, gynecology, and prenatal and pediatric adjusting. I have also received my CACCP certification in pediatric, prenatal, and postnatal chiropractic care through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA).
